SAC is under Tami and Athletics
Will Athletics use it? Yes, but there are not as many athletes as "regular" students
Why vote for it if you won't use it/not important to you?
Look toward future, increasing enrollment, offering nicer equipment, etc.
Why do WE have to pay for it?
Student service
other UW schools used student fees to pay for their fitness room upgrades
Renovation of current facility, not new building.
No statistics of usage, because there is no card-swipe system, etc.
Busy in early mornings, midday is slow, afternoon-evening is busy
Do we need to rethink size?
Renovation based on current space, no building expansion
expansion of building = more $$$ 200,000$ for new equipment 50K for systems (TV, computers, etc) 2.5-3 months for architecht/engineers
Sometime next year; doable but tight timeframe
May email Tami with extra questions

Parliamentarian Report
Ermel V. Jose
12/20/10
absences, etc.
references constitution regarding absences
please see email for full ruling
Absences and corresponding punishment stand and reverse,
accordingly
No grievance for first absence, too late
Second one: no alert of ER visit in timely manner, but shouldn't have
been the basis for punishment
Precedents? Only for the cases previously brought this year Ermel is responsible for providing/not providing personal information to prove ER visit
Rest of agenda Tabled

Adjourned at 6:06pm
